Words of Support for the Safe Spaces Initiative from the University of Alberta:

"The University of Alberta campus is a place where we value all people based on the contributions that they make as individuals. It is important that regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, faculty, staff and students feel safe, welcome and supported at the U of A so that they can reach their full potential."

- Dr. Carl Amrhein, Provost & Vice-President (Academic)

"Diversity is one of the greatest strengths of our University. Our students come from a multitude of backgrounds and identities, and all students have the right to feel safe and have positive environments that encourage their successes. The Safe Spaces Initiative plays an important role in educating the campus community on what it means to be inclusive and respectful with our LGBTQ students."

- Dr. Frank Robinson, Vice - President & Dean of Students:
